This achievement recognises our skills and experience in protecting Active Directory, Azure AD and the broader identity and access management landscape for organisations, as well as the strength of our partnership with Microsoft”.

Microsoft IAM Specialization

What is Microsoft’s Identity and Access Management Specialization?

Identity is the keystone that allows organisations to verify every user access request and connects security solutions across the entire digital estate. Cloud Identity is at the core of a robust Zero Trust framework in Microsoft 365, which spans across identity, data, apps, infrastructure, network, and endpoints.

However, the landscape in which companies operate has significantly evolved in recent years and this results in new security-related challenges for organisations trying to effectively manage their users and access. In 2022 alone, there was a 300% increase in identity-related attacks across all industries. The Microsoft Identity and Access Management Specialization is designed to help customers identify which Microsoft partners have the technical capabilities and proven experience in deploying Microsoft Identity workloads with Azure AD.

Why is it important:

  • 91% of organisations say that password Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is important in order to stop credential theft and phishing attacks
  • 80% of all data breaches involve stolen or weak passwords
  • 55% of organisations that implement IAM solutions report an improvement in security posture

How did we achieve the specialisation?

Microsoft has a number of steps that partners have to complete in order to receive this specialisation:

  • Have an active Solutions Partner designation for Security
  • Demonstrate ongoing support of customers via Azure Active Directory Premium (Azure AD Premium) for the past 24 months.
  • Have the requisite in-house skills to offer advanced capabilities, demonstrated by achieving the relevant identity-related certifications and technical assessments.
  • Provide customer references that demonstrate our ability to deploy Microsoft Identity workloads with Azure AD.
