Karen Morton Shortlisted for Tech Leader at the 2025 Diversity in Tech Awards
We’re thrilled to announce that Karen Morton, Associate Director at Ekco, has been shortlisted for the Tech Leader award at the 2025 Diversity in Tech Awards, hosted by Dublin Tech Summit.
This award recognises senior women in technology who are leading with vision, purpose and innovation. Karen’s nomination is a celebration of not only her incredible leadership within Ekco, but also her broader influence across the cybersecurity and tech community.
A Journey of Impact
Karen joined Ekco with a rich background in commercial strategy, customer experience and operational delivery. Since then, she has carved out a pivotal leadership role within our cybersecurity professional services team – one of the largest on-island PS teams in Ireland.
Her work spans large-scale transformation programmes for global clients. She brings technical delivery, regulatory compliance and client outcomes together into one clear, executable vision. Karen is known for her calm precision, strategic thinking and deep commitment to team success.
Driving Inclusion and Empowerment
Beyond her operational impact, Karen is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in tech. She mentors emerging talent within the cybersecurity space, particularly junior women stepping into technical roles, and actively works to remove barriers to entry and progression.
Her leadership style is people-first, rooted in empathy, clarity and a belief in the value of empowering others to lead.
Recognition Well Deserved
Karen’s shortlisting is a proud moment for Ekco. It reflects the values we stand for: operational excellence, inclusive leadership and the belief that great things happen when people are trusted to grow and lead.
We’ll be cheering her on at the awards ceremony in Dublin and look forward to celebrating all of the brilliant finalists who are helping to shape a more diverse and innovative tech industry.
Congratulations, Karen! And thank you for continuing to lead with purpose.
