  • Savage to focus on scaling Ekco UK’s commercial operations and enhancing customer experience as co-managed security services demand grows

Ekco, a leading cloud and cybersecurity managed service provider, today announced the appointment of Ben Savage as UK Chief Executive Officer. Savage, who brings over 30 years of experience in the IT services industry, joins Ekco UK from listed MSP iomart where he served as Chief Commercial Officer.

Savage brings a proven track record in scaling technology businesses. As Chief Commercial Officer at iomart, he was instrumental in delivering unprecedented levels of sales growth as well as completing four acquisitions in 4 years. Prior to this he held Executive roles at MSPs Six Degrees and Digital Space, and helped Pure Storage expand their EMEA region to become a market leader in All Flash cloud data management following the company’s IPO. His earlier career accomplishments include building a cloud service provider business to 100 million euros in recurring revenue and leading Fujitsu’s private sector sales division.

Savage will focus on helping Ekco UK realise the potential growth in the UK mid-market, translating emerging growth opportunities into long-term commercial advantages. A key part to this will be ensuring the company is well-positioned to deliver consistently high-quality customer experiences, as demand for cloud and cybersecurity accelerates.

Ben Savage, UK CEO of Ekco comments, “I joined Ekco because I was genuinely impressed by the ambition of this business. The mid-market is undergoing a fundamental shift, with businesses increasingly recognising they need specialised skills to manage complex cloud environments securely. My focus will be on helping customers navigate this journey. Ekco is perfectly positioned to deliver the co-managed services these organisations need as they adapt to work-from-anywhere requirements and evolving security threats.”

Eoin Blacklock, CEO and Co-founder of Ekco, comments, “Ben’s track record in driving commercial transformation and scaling businesses in the cloud and cybersecurity space makes him the ideal leader to take Ekco through its next phase of growth. His customer-centric approach and deep understanding of the challenges organisations face in securing their cloud environments align perfectly with our mission to help businesses securely harness the full potential of cloud technology.”

The appointment follows Ekco’s continued market expansion, where it has established itself as a trusted partner in cloud and cybersecurity managed services. Yesterday, the company released its 2025 Infrastructure Modernisation Survey, providing insights into the latest cloud security challenges facing UK businesses.
