Based in our Dublin HQ at 33 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, right in the heart of the city, you will gain exposure to projects with some of Ireland’s largest enterprise organisations.

Your 12 month journey
Foundations Bootcamp (Weeks 1–2)
- Ekco ways of working and consulting fundamentals
- Cyber mindset, secure by design, client communication & report writing
- Cloud & identity basics, networking refresh, hands on labs
- Kick off with Declan Timmons: Expectations, career pathways, and what ‘good’ looks like
Up to Six Rotations (~8 weeks each)
Build a broad skillset across five Cybersecurity Professional Services practices. Each rotation includes a practice mentor, clear outcomes, and a mini portfolio deliverable.
Security Testing Performing Penetration Testing to identify security vulnerabilities and risks. Social engineering and red teaming activities.
Cloud Security & Architecture Security design and architecture on-prem and in cloud environments. Working in multi-cloud environments and with security by design principles.
Threat Detection & Response Monitoring and managing the protection of people, data and infrastructure in real-time in a live Security Operations Centre (SOC).
Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Assessing the security of organisations. Providing strategic security advice and recommendations to enhance security controls and meet regulatory and compliance demands.
Cyber Resiliency Working in Incident Response scenarios and providing support for the containment and eradication of threats.
Security Engineering Implementing security controls and leading security technologies to protect against the increasingly complex threat landscape.

Certifications & study time
- Protected study sprints each rotation
- Curated paths: Microsoft Fundamentals, Security+, Sentinel/SC 200 (Detection), ISO 27001 Foundations (GRC); PNPT/OSCP as stretch goals (Offensive)
- Certification plan tailored to strengths and destination role

Capstone & final placement
- Team capstone (e.g., detection as code pack or secure by design blueprint)
- Final placement
Who should apply?
- Education: Degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
- Foundations: Basic networking/OS/cloud; awareness of malware, phishing, vulnerabilities, and risk
- Mindset: Curious, adaptable, accountable; strong problem solving and teamwork
- Communication: Clear writing and the ability to explain technical topics in plain English
- Nice to haves: Exposure to Microsoft/AWS/Azure; familiarity with SIEM/EDR/firewalls/vulnerability scanners; labs, projects, or early career certs (Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Fundamentals)
