Now in its fourth year, the Ekco Infrastructure Modernisation Survey captures insights from over 1,000 IT leaders across the UK and Ireland — exploring the current state of cloud transformation, the drivers behind it, and the barriers teams face against fully optimising their cloud. This year’s research also dives into the growing role of AI: how it’s being adopted, the security risks it introduces, and the integration challenges businesses are working to overcome.

Key findings include:

• Today, 88% of organisations have either completed or are actively engaged in cloud infrastructure initiatives.
• As transformation initiatives expand, so does complexity. 81% of IT leaders expressed concerns about security of their infrastructure.
• Only 27% of organisations feel they have the internal expertise needed to harness cloud technologies fully.
• Cloud projects supported by MSPs are 6% more likely to achieve their objectives and timelines.
• Most notably, two-thirds of decision makers now identify AI attacks as the top cloud security challenge, overtaking data breaches for the first time.
