Microsoft heeft de storing als opgelost afgemeld. Klanten die vertraging hebben gemeld in de Ekco Clouddesktop geven aan deze niet meer te ervaren.
Impact Statement: Between 02:34 UTC and 07:25 UTC on 16 June 2023, we identified a networking issue in West Europe region. Networking traffic to and from West Europe may have been affected and resources hosted in this region may have experienced availability failures, low throughput, or increased latencies.
Preliminary Root Cause: We identified that network automation systems incorrectly determined that network links in West Europe region were not working properly and shut down the links. Regions are built with extensive redundancy, however enough links were taken out of service to cause congestion and impact to customer traffic.
Mitigation: Engineers placed the links back into service and ensured that the network automation would not remove them again. The network recovered after the links were restored, and other services dependent on the network recovered shortly thereafter.

Microsoft update geeft aan dat herstel maatregelen zijn genomen en verbetering wordt waargenomen. Vertraging kan nog optreden maar verbetering zou langzaam merkbaar moeten zijn. Microsoft verwacht dat de storing rond 10.30u (UTC+2) is verholpen.
Current Status: We identified a recent network change in West Europe region. This caused networking connectivity failures in this region for network traffic in and out of West Europe region. We have completed the mitigation workstreams and our internal telemetry continue to show good recovery progress. Customers should also start seeing improvement in resource reachability. We will continue to monitor the situation. We anticipate full recovery by approximately 08:30 UTC.

Sinds vanmorgen 04:34u (UTC+2) rapporteert Microsoft een netwerk storing in de Azure West Europa regio als gevolg van een uitgevoerde wijziging. Mitigerende maatregelen zijn gestart om het issue op te lossen. Microsoft verwacht rond 10:00u (UTC+2) dat de storing verholpen zou moeten zijn. Ekco ziet geen uitval van diensten bij klanten maar diverse klanten melden wel vertraging te ervaren in de Ekco Clouddesktop.

Networking Issues – West Europe – Investigating
Impact Statement: Starting at 02:34 UTC on 16 June 2023, we have identified a networking issue in West Europe region. Networking traffic to and from West Europe may have been affected and resources hosted in this region may experience reachability failures or latencies.
Current Status: We identified a recent network change caused the impact; we are in progress of applying mitigation. Internal telemetry shows good recovery in progress and many customers would start seeing improvement in connectivity, we estimate full recovery by approximately 08:00 UTC. The next update will be provided in 60 minutes, or as events warrant.
